Four years ago today, our close and deeply beloved friend John O’Keefe died tragically. Not a day goes by that he isn’t missed. John was one of the funniest, kindest, most generous and giving people we have ever known and his absence is felt every single day. In his honor, we ask that you do a random act of kindness today because that is exactly how John lived his life. What was supposed to be Karen Read’s response to our Motion to Dismiss turned into a 54-page Amended Complaint. And reading through it, you’d think the last two criminal trials never happened. So many of the allegations against us in this Amended Complaint are presented as if none of the evidence from those trials exists - as if the record doesn’t contradict them, as if the testimony never occurred, as if the scrutiny of two full criminal proceedings simply didn’t happen. Instead, we’re apparently expected to step into Karen Read’s fairytale world, where inconvenient facts disappear and narratives get rewritten. But here’s the real problem: filings like this don’t just live inside a courtroom. They become fodder. Fodder for the same pink-clad crowd of online misfits who have spent years stalking, harassing, and targeting anyone who refuses to play along with the narrative. The same people who treat Karen Read's court filings like marching orders. Let’s be honest about the point of this filing: to further dehumanize the witnesses, encourage continued attacks, and try to bankrupt the people that did nothing, but tell the truth. The O’Keefe family’s attorneys have officially filed a request for a temporary restraining order on Karen Read’s phones - and they’ve done it with good cause. Let’s not forget what happened the last time her devices were at issue. When she was served with a subpoena for them, she wiped them and she told Tully, “Good luck, you’re going to need it.” Well, today those words echo a little differently. On April 14, 2023, Tom Beatty, a Canton resident who Karen Read claimed was the source who put Colin Albert at 34 Fairview, verbally accosted Jen McCabe at a lacrosse game. Beatty said to McCabe "Still got everybody around you, right?" and then cryptically threatened "not for long." After the game, Beatty continued to yell at her and called her a c#nt. Four days later, Aidan Kearney published his first blog on the case in which he fully embraced Read's fantastical conspiracy theory. And then, some 50 days later after the Beatty incident, Kearney would show up at a lacrosse game and just as Beatty had, verbally harass McCabe, asking her "Did you think that you could outsmart Karen Read?", a question Kearney would later claim in leaked text messages Read told him to ask. What are the chances that Beatty, who was a pivotal source for the defense theory, would harass McCabe telling her she would no longer have any support "just happened" days before the first blog was published? And what are the chances that Kearney "just happened" to harass McCabe during the exact type of event and venue as Beatty had harassed McCabe at? As promised during our live earlier today, here is the full video of Mr. O’Keefe cleaning off John’s Traverse. Karen Read provided Sean McDonough with a single snapshot from this longer video and tried to use it as “proof” that Mr. O’Keefe knew about, and was involved in, covering up damage to John’s vehicle allegedly caused by her 0.5 mph tap. But even the defense’s own expert testified during the first trial that a tap at that speed would not have caused the taillight damage we all saw - damage Karen herself admitted was there. Of course, that didn’t stop her. Instead, she pulled one brief moment from the video, stripped it of all context, and pushed it publicly to fit her narrative.

Aidan: I need all the facts before I have an opinion. Also Aidan: Karen should be immediately exonerated because some bitter granny texted me out of the blue.

One of the biggest examples of how Karen Read’s story has vastly evolved over time is this simple question: Did she see John go into the house the morning of 1/29/2022? In her interview with MSP before she was ever arrested, Karen Read stated clearly that she never saw John go into the house. But over the next three years, that answer didn’t stay consistent. It shifted and morphed into multiple different versions until it finally landed on: “I saw John go inside the house.” And not in court. Not under oath. She said it casually during an interview outside the courthouse during her second trial. That’s the problem. Truth doesn’t evolve. Truth doesn’t need three years of revisions. Truth doesn’t change depending on the audience, the pressure, or the strategy. The truth stays the same because it’s the truth. All the O’Keefes, and those of us who were John’s friends, have asked of Karen Read since January 29, 2022 is simple: tell the truth about what happened the night John died. And now, four years later, she still refuses to give us that, continuing to offer conflicting stories - even under oath.

Imagine someone going online and saying these disgusting, reckless, defamatory things about you, your family and your friends for the world to see. Imagine strangers repeating it. Sharing it. Commenting on it. Threatening you over it. Imagine your name becoming content. Your life becoming entertainment. Your loved ones becoming targets. Now imagine it didn’t last a week. Or a month.
