So much spiritual similarity between these three redesigns. And not just initial negativity that - in my opinion - will evolve into positivity over time. Each is a Modern Classic rendition of looks originating in the late 90s/early 2000s. And my money is on all three aging well.

The wild thing is none of these were inherently bad. The Titans ones I actually liked. The downside to the Browns and Falcons was the ATL and CLEVELAND blocked letters and the Bucs would probably still have those uniforms if it weren’t for the awful alarm clock numbers

So yeah they aren’t BOLD AND FLASHY. Yeah how’d that work for the @BuccaneersLead when they had the alarm clock numbers? Y’all either let teams take swings or complain and they return to traditional styles.

It took time and they grew on everyone, even with a decent amount of fans wishing to go back to the old ones. The Jags have had hits and misses before they went traditional. The Texans were mostly universally accepted as the best new uniforms after a lot of swings and misses.

So. Here is a humble Texans fan’s honest opinion over the discourse of the new @FalconsLeadSM and @TitansLeadSM jersey designs(and I won’t even reference the Oilers for my Titans opinion): They are fine. They are smooth and a return to more traditional looking NFL jerseys.

If the front office didn’t trust him they’d have tried to move him. Plenty of recent precedent for that(Paxton Lynch, Josh Rosen, Anthony Richardson who got permission to seek a trade). Both coach and GM have come out in support of him. That’s all that was needed.
