When a tenant moves in at minimum I require a $2000 security deposit. I had a tenant moved out recently and my maintenance guy does a final walkthrough and finds holes in the wall Tenant is asking me if I’m refunding her deposit I then tell her that she needs to pay $1600 for deep cleaning and for small repairs to fix the holes in the wall patch, paint and replace window blinds along with other things. She was furious as to why it was expensive to fix all this stuff even though she claims she cleaned everything… She was blaming her nephews because they made holes in the walls… I’m like yeah you gotta pay for them… Where is the accountability…. She was refunded $400 only out of her $2000 deposit. She wasn’t happy That’s why the deposits are required….regardless if tenants have good credit.

@KellyIsRightTX They do not currently prosecute for it in most cases because CBD is legal and they can't always tell the difference.

I can't even tell you how many times I had to call the custodian for a "Code Brown" on the bathroom floor today. As a parent, I never once had to clean up poop off my bathroom floor because my kids "didn't make it in time." At some point, personal responsibility matters. If you're old enough to be out in public, you're old enough to know how to use a restroom properly. Some people simply shouldn't be parents.

@jeremyct There are many ways to get a house for 5% down or less. Look into creative financing. There are more ways than a traditional bank to get into a house. Boomers are not the problem, the system is rigged against us all.

I save $400 a month when everything goes right. That’s 15 years of perfect months just to get to the front door. No car repairs. No medical bills. No emergencies. No life. Just saving. He bought his first house at 29 with 3 months of salary. Then told me I need better priorities.

What would Austin look and feel like if we could get the percentage of car free households up to 15%? There are huge public benefits to doing this. Less pollution, people walk more and interact w their neighborhood. Helps local and neighborhood businesses. Saves people money.

@JoshStraughan1 I chose to go DIII because they paid 100% academically. I received a better education, played as a freshman and had a blast doing it. Go where you can play and not come out of school in debt if possible.

D1 walk on who sits the bench? OR D2 scholarship and play? If you have to think about this one, you most likely don’t have the drive to play in college… a lot of college athletes quit after year 1 or 2.. Go where you are WANTED ‼️

This is my favorite time of year. The casuals come out to watch college baseball and act like they know college baseball. This has been a thing for quite a while. It adds a little spice to the sport. Just like bat flips. And it is hilarious. Take the stick out of your ass.

U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that parents are now allowed to block their children from LGBTQ ideologies. Maybe more kids will return to school and have normal lives rather than being homeschooled.

@ilv_mycountry They are drain flies, not gnats. Just running the water in each drain at least once a month will keep them away. They show up when the the traps are dry.

FYI: A quick way to get rid of gnats: boil a pot of water and pour the boiling water down every sink drain in the house. Rinse and repeat every couple of hours until the gnat problem has been eliminated.
