I haven’t had a single profitable trade on fx in the last one month. I’ve nailed my expectations pretty much on most instances, but executions have been poor for the most part. This has been my longest running brick wall since 2019 and also my most inconsistent. Risk approach once more has been elite, but that’s not enough at this level for me. I don’t want to make that switch to fully trading equities yet as I’m still gathering data, but at this point why fight the stats? I think our one job as a trader is to constantly adapt, and while my model has worked extremely well in the last 9 years, I frankly think I’m better off sitting price for a while and focusing on other asset classes instead

I know it looks like I’m miles away from becoming profitable because I take so many losses. But I genuinely believe there’s just something I’m missing. I’m following my rules 99% of the time, and 90% of the trades I take feel like valid setups… they just don’t work. I don’t think I need a whole new strategy. I just need to figure out why these trades are losing and fix that.

@jadecap_ The key is never giving up. Being consistent in the idea of your success. I remember seeing you struggle when me and gene started up the forex cartel… now you’re one of the most successful traders I know! 😮‍💨

One of the biggest misconceptions in the retail trading space, is that once you learn to become profitable, that your success is linear and you’re gonna print money hand over fist every single year. 100% not the case. Just like the market moves in cycles, so does your p&l. Some years, I just haven’t felt like trading much at all. Other years, I’m sacrificing sleep and time to be at the desk. All it takes is a few good months or years to make your career a success. If you have a year of outperformance, there’s nothing wrong with taking time off.

Man, I love your disciplined content. Ive built a algo end to end for educational signal service (all education is free) and im looking for specific, honest people to publicly test my algo. I’d comp the entire thing for you just for feedback from results to ease of use. Let me know if you’re interested.
