The air temperature has been so hot that the impatiens never fully recover. This is a pic of an impatient the next morning after it was watered in the previous evening. I may stop planting impatiens in subsequent summers.

The Bee Balm that was grown from seeds last year has returned from the roots and is now blooming. This is an easy to grow perennial that attracts hummingbirds, butterflies and of course bees.
