Oxford University researchers have discovered the densest element yet known to science...
The new element, Governmentium (symbol=Gv), has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.
These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called pillocks.
Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert.
However, it can be detected because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact.
A tiny amount of Governmentium can cause a reaction that would normally take less than a second, to take from 4 days to 4 years to complete.
Governmentium has a normal half-life of 2 to 6 years.
It does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganisation in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places.
In fact, Governmentium's mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganisation will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes.
This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a critical concentration.
This hypothetical quantity is referred to as a critical morass.
When catalysed with money, Governmentium becomes Administratium (symbol=Ad), an element that radiates just as much energy as Governmentium, since it has half as many pillocks but twice as many morons.

Here's how I tell where a person's loyalties really lie in terms of "dual citizenship", and it can apply to any country not just Israel.
Just ask them, if the two countries you hold dual citizenship with went to war against each other, which country would you fight for?
The answer for most is obvious, they'll choose their "home" country. That's what it all comes down to.

@josesaezmerino @NejatCanUnlu @zhdite In Jira there is so much stuff that even my ultra wide is completely filled with stuff.
English

@NejatCanUnlu @zhdite I haven’t fullscreened a browser since 2003. Most websites waste horizontal space, so keeping the window portrait shaped allows me to see other apps at the same time.

I don't understand vertical tabs. Why would I want less space for the website content I actually want to look at?
Sawyer Hood@sawyerhood
wtf chrome has vertical tabs now. finally
English

@josesaezmerino @Shpigford Wait until you discover tab groups and the possibility to collapse them. And I can also recommend using a renaming tab addon, makes organizing so much easier.
English

@Shpigford Yeah I think I need to just try it, people feel very strongly about this lol

Wichtig: Alles bleibt privat.
Was haltet ihr davon? Hilft das gegen den AI-Spam? 👇

@akashmuni27 @AbakpaJob Words are for guiding your thoughts, that's why it helps speaking with yourself. So only the thoughts with a "name" become important.
But you don't need it and you can actually test this when you try to read a book, without reading the words in your head. (Fast reading tip)
English

People who are born deaf and grow up using sign language actually think in sign language. Not in words they hear in their head but in visual spatial concepts. They mentally see the shapes and movements of signs.
But it goes deeper than that. Research shows that thought is not actually dependent on language the way most hearing people assume. A lot of thinking happens in images, feelings, spatial relationships and abstract concepts that exist before language gives them a name.
The assumption that thinking requires words is actually a hearing person's assumption. Deaf communities have pushed back on this for decades.
The more interesting question is whether any of us are really thinking in words at all, or whether language is just the tool we use to explain thoughts that already happened.
