A total of 13,158 students appeared for the examination from Sonitpur, out of which 7,371 students passed. In terms of performance, 2,151 students secured first division, 3,792 achieved second division, and 1,428 passed in third division.

The HSLC Examination 2026 results have placed Sonitpur among the lowest-performing districts in Assam, with a pass percentage of 56.02. The district ranks third from the bottom, reflecting a concerning academic outcome this year.

During the visit, Dr Rajesh Kumar Garg briefed him on various projects, products, and technologies developed by the laboratory. The presentation highlighted DRL's ongoing work in life sciences, biotechnology, & engineering solutions designed to support operations in highaltitude.
