@cogatonline The International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruled that Israel has an unconditional obligation to facilitate relief programs provided by UN entities and agencies, including UNRWA. The court ruled that security concerns cannot justify blocking or suspending humanitarian relief.

Ahead of the summer, COGAT is coordinating with international organizations on solutions to improve the water response in the Gaza Strip. Last week, alongside CRS we coordinated the entry of 15 large water containers containing a total of 80,000 liters of water. Today, following a UNDP request, COGAT facilitated the entry of 5 water trucks to ensure clean drinking water reaches citizens in Gaza. Some choose to spread false narratives, and others choose coordination to deliver real solutions. We are here to solve problems, alongside our international partners. #CoordinationSolvesProblems

@rich_toronto Why don't we ever hear the details? It's so vague. It takes them a couple of weeks to come up with the story.

Everyone is acting like this war is over. They think continuing it would obviously be economically catastrophic. That's why the whole world expects it to be over. There's just one problem. Israel doesn't want it to be over. So, who is going to get their way - the world or Israel?

@Brian_Dell In the abstract? Israel exists, and is the only country on Earth whose right of continued existence is questioned. It's not abstract, it's blatant double standards. And after singling out Israel for elimination, people wonder why they defend themselves so aggressively.

It’s the Zionists who want to argue about Israel’s right to exist in the abstract. To distract attention away from their all too real and tangible crimes.
The Moderate Case@TheModerateCase

The “Israel has a right to exist” argument has always bothered me because it accepts a weak premise. Nations do not have some abstract, inherent, metaphysical “right to exist.” Not Israel, America, France, Pakistan, you name the country. States exist because they establish sovereignty, build institutions, control their territory, defend their borders, gain recognition, and survive. That is the realist and only true, logical argument. When someone says “Israel has no right to exist,” the strongest response is not to beg them to recognize Israel’s “right.” This is weak and defensive. That already puts Israel on trial in a way no other country is. The stronger response is to say simply: Israel DOES exist. It achieved sovereignty, built a state, and defended itself through repeated wars. It has borders, institutions, a military, a legal system, international recognition, and a people who are not going anywhere. There is definitely a double standard, though. People do not demand France, Pakistan, Jordan, Turkey, or Egypt justify their “right to exist.” That standard is almost always applied uniquely to Israel, and yes, a lot of the time it is rooted in antisemitism or anti-Jewish hostility. That is exactly why Israel’s defenders should stop making the weakest version of the argument. Israel does not need to defend its existence as if its sovereignty depends on the moral permission of people who hate it. Israel’s case is much stronger than that. Israel DOES exist because the Jewish people returned to political sovereignty in their historic homeland, built functioning institutions, accepted partition, declared independence, survived invasion, defended itself, absorbed refugees, developed a modern state, and maintained that sovereignty for over 75 years. Stop playing into the emotional arguments and get real.

Even Gideon Levy, the brave, outspoken former Haaretz correspondent has questioned whether Israel will exist for very much longer. Israel claims it has a right to exist. It doesn’t, no country has the right to exist. Its people do. The question Gideon Levy raises is because of Israel’s behaviour, can it continue to exist, should it continue to exist? Israel started out as a terrorist state. Three of its prime ministers were leaders of terrorist organisations. It has been in a state of perpetual war since its inception fuelled by its ambition to expand its borders, which it never defines, and create an exclusive state of Greater Israel. Always claiming to be the victim and forever hiding behind the horror of the Holocaust, screaming ‘antisemitism’ if is criticised, Israel has created an apartheid state, committed endless atrocities, and is now guilty of one the worst genocides in history. Israel is no better than its erstwhile persecutors. The impunity Israel has enjoyed and the power it’s been able to exercise, is all down to the ‘great facilitator’, America. With the assistance of its diaspora, Israel has effected the state capture of America. America gifts Israel billions of dollars every year, it funds its endless wars, and, to its great shame, it facilitated the Gaza genocide. Now, a weak, demented president has been dragged into a war with Iran by Israel’s Netanyahu. It’s a war which cannot be won and may well lead to a catastrophic confrontation which could see the end of civilisation. It’s not a question as to whether Israel should exist, but whether it’s in the world’s interest that should be allowed to exist.

Real question: how does a foreign country with 10 million people end up with this much influence over the politicians, government policy, media narratives, and tax dollars of a country with 342 million people? My take: Because our politicians are bought. Billionaires, lobbying groups, PAC money, and career politicians terrified of losing funding have warped American foreign policy to the point where our leaders show more loyalty to the Israeli government than to the Americans they were elected to represent.

OK, so, foreign countries meddling in our elections is not OK. It's not OK when Russia does it, and it's not OK when Israel does it. I am Jewish by blood, and I support Israel and the idea of a Jewish state. But that does not mean I want them to interfere in American elections.

@AngelaBelcamino I was shocked when I learned that many of our politicians in office are dual citizens. What?!? No no no. We need a rule that states you have to have a single citizenship, which is American, and no other to be in public office. Loyalties are questioned otherwise, as they should be

Just hear me out… If AIPAC openly celebrates helping replace U.S. politicians with more pro-Israel candidates, imagine if a China-aligned group said the same about installing more pro-China voices in Congress. Would Americans accept that?

@Brian_Dell The $20 million wasn't just from the Israel lobby, it was also from MAGA PACs. Massie also had tons of PAC donations. Regardless, the final decision was from Kentucky voters.

@ThamesOfUr So he never, in fact, said he wanted "to turn his campaign into a referendum about Israel". He said it WAS a referendum (about whether "Israel gets to dictate" foreign policy). It's the Israel lobby that turned it into a referendum and successfully so.

@strxwmxn @RepThomasMassie That was precisely the problem. Massie was campaigning for the anti-Israel crowd on Twitter instead of his constituents in Kentucky. He even called it a referendum on Israel. His obsession made him become out of touch.

It would be the funniest thing ever if the main reason @RepThomasMassie lost so decisively is because his constituents felt he's too obsessed with Israel to get anything done for their district.
