পরমব্রত চট্টপাধ্যায় "দাঁতে দাঁত চেপে" তৃণমূলের কাছে ক্ষমা চেয়েছিলেন, "সন্তানের মুখের দিকে তাকিয়ে"। কেন বলুন তো? কারণ তৃণমূল শুধু ক্ষমতায় ছিল না, তারাই "ক্ষমতা" ছিল। ক্ষমতা নৃশংস হয়, নির্দয় হয়, নির্যাতক হয়। তাই মানুষ ক্ষমতার কাছে কাঁপতে কাঁপতে ক্ষমা চায়। পরমব্রত চট্টপাধ্যায় ২০২১ সালের দোসরা মে'র দিন "বিশ্ব রগড়ানি দিবস" ঘোষণা করে উল্লাস করার জন্য কিন্তু বাঙালি হিন্দুর কাছে ক্ষমা চাননি। ওই, সেই দিনটা, যেদিন অভিজিৎকে ওরা কুপিয়ে কুপিয়ে মেরেছিল বিজেপি করার অপরাধে। যেদিন গ্রামের গৃহবধূদের নগ্ন প্যারেড হয়েছিল, বিজেপি করার অপরাধে। যেদিন সতেরো বছরের বালিকার ধর্ষিত মৃতদেহ পড়ে ছিল বাড়ির চৌকাঠে, বিজেপি করার অপরাধে। সেদিনের ওই উল্লাসটার জন্য উনি আজও ক্ষমা চাননি। আপনি ভাই, বাঙালি হিন্দু। আপনি ক্ষমতায় থাকলেও আপনি কোনওদিনই "ক্ষমতা" নন। হবেনও না। আপনার কাছে ক্ষমা চাওয়ার দরকার কী, যখন এমনিতেই এই "ফ্যাসিস্ট" বোষ্টুম সরকারের বদান্যতায় সন্তানের ভবিষ্যৎ একটা প্রেস কনফারেন্স করেই সুরক্ষিত করে নেওয়া গেল? আপনি তো ভাই পাঁঠার জায়গায় "প্রতীকি" কুমড়ো বলি দিতেই প্রেফার করেন। শাক্ততেজ ভুলে আপনি দেবীকে বলেছেন অসী ছেড়ে অধরে মুরলী ধরতে। দেবী আপনাকে তাই দিয়েছেন, যা চেয়েছেন। ওই, মুরলী। প্রতিবার মার খেয়ে মুরলী বাজিয়ে যাওয়াই আপনার ভবিতব্য, বুঝলেন। আপনি বাদ দিন। বেটা, তুমসে না হো পায়েগা।

In short: India is economically retarded. And this really isn't news. When it comes to people count they should've overtaken China long ago, but their culture forbids it. That is also why many intelligent and hard working Indians go abroad. In my industry this is incredibly visible in everyday work life. Indians outside India are often some of the friendliest and best people to work with. Indian teams in India though often feel like a den of hens with their heads chopped off. It's truly incredibly what a broken cultural environment can do to a civilization.

Primeminister of India, Narendra Modi, would not take my question, I was not expecting him to. Norway has the number one spot on the World Press Freedom Index, India is at 157th, competing with Palestine, Emirates & Cuba. It is our job to question the powers we cooperate with.

Tried to ask PM Modi a question on the way to the elevator to, but the closing doors stopped me. What I was wondering was whether he thinks he deserves the trust of the Nordic countries given his human rights violations and his restrictions on press freedom.

Why were so many matches of Punjab Kings held in Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh? The Himachal crowds were clearly rooting for opposing teams. Why were these matches not held in New Chandigarh? Why should players play in a state where Punjab is disliked?
