BEE Policy is a national government competency. At municipal level, they just need to deliver services. Not develop policy.
Themba@JohnDoe_ZAR

I just read the 70 page manifesto of @Action4SA , I was so close to being deceived, I nearly shared my vote with them. On page 28-29, it reads “Action SA will repeal BBBEE and replace with it with an inclusive EE framework that focuses on equality of opportunity rather than compliance-driven racial outcomes” So for starters, I don’t think @Action4SA knows what BBBEE is and secondly, I don’t think they are well informed on the inequalities in the country. @GaytonMcK was right… @Action4SA is actually more dangerous than the DA, their policies are not too far from the @Our_DA

@sibumabena Your primary residence is in Pretoria. You're primarily affected by service delivery issues in Pretoria. That's where you're allowed to have a say. That's the whole point of local government elections.

Not exactly. Some people inherit property and end up having to allocate resources towards the upkeep but have no say over the conditions of the areas and the service delivery thereof. Class aside, how do we hold people we had no say in electing accountable when we are held to account when we don’t pay?

@sibumabena You are suggesting the weight of a person's vote should be determined by their class position in society.

@ThandoQolo Nope. Not to hell with it. But… can we consider various points of inflection maybe?

@GSlatt6 @babeotswejang You have to take into account the interest. When you can take the money and reinvest to gain interest. If you assume that the interest rate for government bonds is about 8 -9 %. The total amount you will get at the end will amount to more than R 100 Mil.

@KhandaniM @ginnydmm You build the infrastructure beforehand. You don't just build an industry without the necessary infrastructure to support it.

@Vhoyde I need the world to sell off $2T worth of US bonds. I need them to experience inflation at scales they've never witnessed before.

@ThandoQolo @ZARMarketTrends Wrong. The deduction is a deduction off your income, not off your tax amount payable. E.g. If you contribute R46k to your RA and are taxed in the 30% tax bracket, you’ll only get back 30% x R46,000 = R13,800 on your contribution.

Just heard the craziest thing😂. I'm not a fan of Retirement Annuities (RAs), but check this. This guy says that if you contribute just the right amount to your RA, you can get a tax refund of R46k from SARS, which you'll use to max out your TFSA. Wow!
