If Julius Malema was power hungry he was gonna tell all the Africans to go back to their counties and everyone would applaud and give him votes , but he is not taking the easy stupid way to get into parliament history will remember him 🙏🏻

Tyla opened up about why she and Nasty C have never worked together on music together: “I think it was in 2023, yeah. I texted him earlier that year before I released my hit song ‘Water.’ I was literally in his DMs begging for a collaboration, and he saw the message but completely ignored it. He left me on seen. Then after I dropped ‘Water’ in late July and started getting massive attention, he suddenly texted back saying, ‘Hey, let’s work.’ I just laughed it off and never replied.”

“Jacinta can say Home Affairs are lying. That’s her right. That’s democracy 😊 But here’s the test: We don’t believe mobs. We don’t believe politicians. We believe paper + process. SAPS + Home Affairs stamped 200+ passports in public, in front of lawyers, media, church leaders. If they’re lying, show us the fake stamps. Show us the real list of 200 ‘illegals’. Accusation without evidence is just gossip. I don’t trust Home Affairs blindly. I’ve stood in that queue 8 hours too 😂 But I trust law more than rumors. Law says: ‘Innocent until proven illegal’. If Jacinta has proof that 198 people had fake docs, let her take it to court, not TikTok. Court is where lies die. Twitter is where lies multiply.

For too long, the poor were taught a terrible inheritance: keep quiet, accept whatever the government hands you, and call it survival. The EFF is in the Western Cape High Court to shatter that legacy. We are demanding that the Finance Minister’s unilateral power to adjust the fuel levy without Parliament be struck down as unconstitutional and oppressive. The EFF is fighting hard for the ungrateful people. The EFF refuse to say thank you for rising taxi fares, for unaffordable bread, for a fuel levy hiked by one man’s signature while democracy sleeps.

We have long cautioned against the sanctimonious and self-righteous attitude of legacy foundations that want run this country outside of its democratic institutions. The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) by law and the Constitution must have a component of representatives from the National Assembly and the National Council of Provinces (Parliament of South Africa). It is on this basis that not only Julius Malema, but other Members of Parliament sit on the JSC, many of whom I doubt people could name without googling because they have not had the same impact on that forum. It is within that very Constitution that the right to freedom of expression is enshrined, upon which we all carry the right to critique our own institutions when we find that they are under threat and their credibility is undermined. It is on this basis that criticism of the Constitutional Court for taking 500+ days to release the Phala Phala Judgement was raised, and we raised that the Norms and Standards of Courts were being breached by this delay. Chief Justice Mandisa Maya herself accepted the and apologised not only to the EFF, but the entire nation. It is on the basis of our Constitutional order that the clearly hateful attitude of the Magistrate Olivier Twanet was engaged - a magistrate who lied about soup kitchens being everywhere in East London in an attempt to undermine their social impact on society. A magistrate who said sarcastically that the leader of the EFF blames everyone “including the Holy Spirit” for a politically motivated case against him, when it was pointed out to her that the racist Afriforum was behind the case. People run these legacy foundations in the name of people who have passed away, and purport to represent the ideals of those people and their legacies. Would Helen Suzman have agreed with a Foundation which was silent on Phala Phala? Would Helen Suzman have been silent in the face of the sealing of the CR17 Documents? I doubt Helen Suzman would support or endorse the political and narrow agendas which are pursued in her name by interests in a Foundation, to undermine the Constitution, its values and our democratic order. An institution which cherry picks which political leaders it “holds accountable”

Let's agree on one thing: the EFF is the intellectual leader of society. The party leads public discourse.

Well done to the EFF and to ATM for pursuing the Phala Phala matter. Credit where it is due. Parliament, once again, is found to be a lackey endorser of party politics. As was the case with the Nkandla matter, parliament fell dreadfully short of ensuring executive accountability & practising oversight. Thank goodness for the separation of powers, where the courts have sufficient independence to exercise judgment based on the facts, not in favour. But most of all, thank goodness for the political parties that kept this issue at the forefront of our political discourse. The major winner here is the citizens of South Africa: the courts can and should make a judgment based on facts and evidence. The institutions are still working. The centre is still holding. As for the president, it's time to go. This issue has hamstrung the nation for long enough. Nkos’sikelela iAfrika. VT

We will NOT be bullied!! Whether it’s by the West or our African compatriots. South Africa is not a xenophobic country. We have our own problems in this country stemming from inequality and high levels of crime but we refuse to be scapegoats for sister African countries. All of us must resolve our challenges which push people away from their native countries to seek opportunity elsewhere. As for South Africa, in the words of President @CyrilRamaphosa .., “We are a people who live the value of Ubuntu. We should never allow the legitimate concerns of our communities about illegal immigration to breed prejudice against our fellow Africans. We must not allow these concerns to give rise to Xenophobia directed towards people from other African countries or any other parts of the world. Instead we must insist that the law be upheld and enforced . That is why we are clamping down on illegal migration and on businesses that flout our laws by hiring undocumented persons at the expense of our citizens. We will not allow people to take the law into their own hands . We extend hospitality to those who are guests in our country with the expectation that generosity is honoured with respect for our society and its laws”
Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa@S_OkudzetoAblak

The Government of Ghana has formally written to the African Union requesting that the South African xenophobic attacks targeted at Africans be placed on the agenda at the upcoming Mid-Year Coordination Meeting to be attended by Heads of State and Government.

The EFF and ATM are the reason why this judgement on the Phala Phala matter is being handed down. They even fought when the delay was getting untenable. They had the courage to challenge what happened in parliament and the EFF sustained the same energy they kept with Jacob Zuma. Some of the legal analysts who show up on screens will not even say that even when they want to analyse the implications of the judgement. They can’t give credit where it’s due.

Julius Malema appears to be the only politician willing to express unpopular opinions. In my opinion, that is a positive leadership trait. Hating or loving his opinions is secondary in my opinion.

He gave the Guptas mainstream real economy, mining licences and permits… but for South Africans they only propose Spaza Shops. No consideration of the entire supply chain… the Indians must own the means of production and Black South Africans must distribute goods on behalf of big corporations? Spaza shops cannot be viewed in isolation. Systemic overhaul and restructuring is necessary for real empowerment and shift of economic power. We want the land! We want mines and other strategic economic sectors! We want a state owned bank! We want economic freedom! We will not be mislead and galvanised for temporary gains. Ours is a generational mission: Economic Freedom in Our Lifetime! Asijiki!

One of my friends, who is like a brother to me, is a senior leader of Action SA. We would meet over coffee and catch up on life and politics in general. We haven't met in a while due to his busy schedule. He calls me Ausi, as an older sister, my daughter calls him Uncle. He has always known that we differ in ideology. When they left the DA and formed Action SA, I gave him my support. I've always encouraged him in his journey as a politician. He knows me to be an EFF voter and he respects that. During 2009 elections, I knew I was done with the ANC, but I was not feeling Cope. I went into the booth confused, not knowing which party to vote for. I decided on AZAPO because the leader then was Musibudi Mangena and I liked his leadership even as a Deputy Minister in Higher Education. So I just gave them my vote. After EFF was formed, I voted for them, and have since voted for them. I attended their election manifesto at Orlando stadium in 2016 and have been convinced by their Cardinal Pillars, reclaiming the LAND and the ECONOMY being my key ones. Without LAND, we are naked as African people. I love how the party has pushed back against racism and white supremacy over the years. No party has succeeded, in my view, to restore the dignity of Black people where white racists are concerned in this country. They know their place. Their radicalism is what resonates with me. I could go on with things I like about the EFF. Julius's strength and courage in pushing for Economic Emancipation against all odds, has been an inspiration. The strength of their leadership collective, the mentoring of young leaders, ORDER in how they run their affairs and the organization like a well oiled machine, is something I marvel at. The respect and care they give to people and their members who attend their evets, is unmatched. They leave the area clean, they make sure members are safe and dropped off at home. It's things people might think don't matter much, but they do to me. When Donald Trump played that video in the Oval office and asked President Ramaphosa "when are you arresting this man?", I knew that he is a pawn in their flesh. I knew that Afriforum must have briefed him that they are going for him. I've never wanted to be a member of a political party, but after the sentence in East London, I asked for a form to complete because I feel the need to swell the ranks of the EFF. The form hasn't come yet, and I'm still to decide. Their work in Parliament is highly significant. The policies they have contributed and continue to push for in Education for the benefit of our kids, in Economics against Vat etc, has been impactful. Lastly, I believe Julius and the EFF are unfairly blamed for the Immigration issues in the country where the ANC as the governing party, and now the GNU, has to be held fully accountable. He is unfortunate that many dislike what Advocate Ngcukaitobi defined in court as a combative way of speaking. Those who work with him and appreciate his leadership style, see the benefits of that combat spirit, which in fact I believe is what this country needs. A fearless leader who will be prepared to lead from the front and clean up the mess we have in government. I write this for myself, not to convince or persuade anyone. This is just, "Dear Diary" kinda notes. 😊
