The Sacred Name movement claims we must use Hebrew names like "Yahshua" or "Yahawashi". But the New Testament manuscripts use the Greek "Ιησούς". The Apostles did not require Hebrew phonetics. Salvation relies on the Person, not the accent. 👇 #ChristianTwitter #Apologetics

@TaylorRMarshall Book of James is not talking about eternal salvation, as it is addressed to already saved believers. The book of James is talking about being justified before men not before GOD. James is scolding already saved Jews for not doing what they are supposed to be doing since they are being lazy, not doing good works to lead people to Christ, not helping the sick or feeding the poor. It doesn’t profit anyone when they are not taking action to help others. That is what dead faith is, but yes they are still saved but they are not using their faith to help others. They were not profiting anyone. And Faith without works is dead does not mean faith without works and one will lose their salvation or that one is not saved if they don’t have works otherwise salvation is by our own works and GOD says salvation is not by our works. Salvation is by GOD’s grace through faith alone according to the Bible. We can never boast in our works. Our works never save us or keep us saved. Only faith alone in the Gospel, which is a free gift to us by Jesus Christ, saves us. It's actually a great book to show how we as saved believers can help one another out and how we can also help unbelievers and point them towards our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ letting our light shine brightly before men. Matthew 5:16 KJV Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Sadly, so many take the book of James out of context, or get tripped up by the book. Quick video of book of James in context: youtube.com/watch?v=usCuIb… Book of James has nothing to do withs salvation. Compare it with Romans 4:2 KJV - "For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God." Can faith save him video by Bibleline: youtu.be/j9csNnAqwQ0?si…

@TharosProject You need to understand terms first before using them! 😊 1 Tim 2:1 DEFINITELY asks us to share in Christ’s perfect mediation hence verses 5 & 6 exist! Without verse 1, verses 5-6 makes little sense! READ YOUR WHOLE BIBLE! Not just 1/3 of a sentence! 😊

@HebrwHammerette Condescending remark aside, it seems you totally misread my comment. I believe we are saved by grace through faith - it is a gift of God. God alone saves. Unless you're disagreeing with the Catholic fellow above? I'm Christian. God bless

@TharosProject You need to do more study on this subject, as it's foundational to the faith. Understand that what you quoted says, "I." The work of Salvation is from G-d alone, not from us. *IF* we respond positively, our response doesn't save us, *HE* does. Ephesians 2:8.

@sartell_he89275 That's because men can act as middlemen and make a business out of religion. They seek to commodify God's free gift of grace.

@TharosProject I am just more curious why anyone would WANT to pray to Mary, angels or saints if Jesus himself is an option? That's like talking to the mirch girl, ticket clerk or security instead of the main act.

@cswarketatora @KepaApp Now they've levelled up and use AI to generate their responses. I keep catching them out. It's getting ridiculous. And what's the point? Do they think we will "submit to Rome" by their outpouring of Catholic "love"?

@TharosProject @KepaApp The acc can only use a programmed box where it cannot see anything outside Cath/Prot/Ortho. Mind controlled. Also acc suggested one shud read the whole Bible & when one does, and shows it, it has a frothy mouth full of teeth. Then it plays the man. What’s new. Poor person.

@GuyJackson777 So let us therefore rejoice in our suffering, which produces endurance. (Romans 5:3-5) Our troubles are still small, compared to Job, or even Christ. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. (1 Tim. 6:8) Bless you, brother.

I can't force anyone to believe in the simplicity of the grace Gospel that is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV. I will tell you this though, being a grace apologist is not fun. Half the time you're probably debating someone filled with demons. It is not enjoyable.

@KepaApp I'm not "Prot", so your terrible argument falls apart from the start. Jumping to conclusions and rash generalizations is how you "interpret" scripture also. All this to undermine Christ's salvific work.

We don’t have the same concept of the salvation. We don’t think it’s just a stamp you get and maintain as a permanent status. We think it’s a constant and eternal process. We hope we are saved, we hope we will be saved, and we hope we will continue to be saved. As orthodox, all we can say is that our church is the body of Christ, and that we must tell everyone to be baptized into the body of Christ. We do not know how or how often God may choose to save those outside of it. So we don’t make definitive self claims. All we can do is point people to the medicine given by the church, which all of us need. It’s not really about icons. It’s about the wholeness of the faith. For instance, why would we want someone not to receive the Eucharist, which can only be given through our church? Why would we want them not to practice fasting and feasting, which helps us master the passions? The problem is starting with the idea salvation as a sample of approval and starting your theology with your Soteriology.

Alright Orthos and Catholics. If I deny icons as windows into heaven and just treat them as art, am I still saved?

@TeeTrimma @abr_atlas @personXpersonY They just pick and choose a random heresy to shut you down. Some of them called me "Arian", others "Modalist", others "Nestorian", and also their great boogeyman a "Prot". That's when they're not downright insulting you.

@abr_atlas @TharosProject @personXpersonY How did he commit modalism in what he just said? Maybe his original tweet by implying that Jesus isn't in the image despite God being there, but in the tweet you're replying to he's saying the three persons of the Trinity are distinct which is true

This graphic is about the alleged "process of intercession". Naturally, our Father in heaven (God the Father) is the object of our prayer, and Jesus (God the Son) is our only mediator. Jesus is absent in this graphic, replaced by people who have died. My post was VERY clear.
