90s Spider-Man was a GREAT example to use here -- it's underdiscussed how many episodes dealt directly with institutional racism ("Rocket Racer", "Tombstone", "The Prowler") and John Semper intentionally included Black characters like Blade and Terri Lee. It's alway been there!
