@NickdeBruyne Well, see, the way the software is built, anyone can host a server, and the servers can talk to each other, so there is no central "Mastodon" that can be bought and corrupted. (There's even more cool stuff in place to prevent this sort of thing, but I digress)

@ThatAequitas They are apparently updating it again to stop it doing that. They do this like... once a year now I swear. Then everyone moans and then they change it back.
