#17: RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business [PS5]

Platinum 114 Decent. I enjoyed Rogue City and this is pretty much just more of the same, just with less depth and variety. I think it maybe runs on a bit too long, I think you could’ve cut a couple missions in order to make the rest more memorable but it’s still a fun time

This is my 2026 thread to keep track of games I’ve completed this year, like previous years I will update this whenever I finish something and give my thoughts on each game. I know very few people care about this but I’m only doing it this way because I think it’s convenient

Platinum 113 Loved it. Very solid conclusion to Max’s story with some really great character stuff and a completing whodunit. I didn’t like how some things that were set up in Double Exposure were almost completely dropped but it didn’t affect my enjoyment too much

Surprised by how many negative impressions of the film I’ve seen on my timeline. A lot of the criticism I’ve seen seems to be blown way out of proportion. It’s not surprising, people tend to exaggerate when something doesn’t meet their expectations.

Just got back from seeing the Mario Galaxy movie and it rocks. It’s not perfect, I did have a few problems with it but overall it’s an incredibly enjoyable experience that does the source material justice. First movie was funnier but in every other way Galaxy is an improvement

Platinum 112 Absolutely loved this game to pieces, has to be one of my all time favourites now. The story was beautiful, it really resonated with me and hit close to home at some points. Love all the characters and the camcorder stuff

Cool that they included the events as well, it was my first time experiencing those. Shiny hunted Deoxys too

Very glad this was rereleased on Switch, the Gen 3 Pokemon games are by far the ones I’ve played the least so this was a good opportunity to revisit these ones. I hope the Hoenn games follow. I’ve always thought these were solid remakes and I probably like them even more now

This is a game that gets pretty much everything right except for the story. It had sone good ideas but overall poor execution and a lot of the big twists and plot developments fell flat. The boss death animations are like the coolest shit I’ve ever seen

Platinum 111 Wasn’t sure what to expect with this going in but ended up loving it. It’s very similar to the Star Wars Jedi games which are some of my favourites and Stellar Blade really scratched the same itch. Looks very nice and I enjoyed the soundtrack a lot too

Very excited for Winds and Waves. I’ve never really been one to care that much about the graphics in Pokemon games but these games genuinely look really good. Glad to see some of my favourite Pokemon returning as well. Picking Gecqua for sure

I enjoyed the focus on Drake and Sully’s relationship but there just wasn’t a strong hook. 2 had the romance with Elena and the question of Chloe’s loyalty, this didn’t have that and regressed Drake and Elena’s relationship just to reiterate the same beats but less effectively

My 110th platinum Liked it a lot. The best of the trilogy gameplay wise and it has the best and most memorable set pieces, far less frustrating moments than the previous two. I think I still prefer Uncharted 2 though, mostly because I think that one has a much better story
