@FOXWestTexas They’re required by law to register on their 18th birthday regardless. The only thing new here is that now it’s automatic. There are criminal penalties for failing to do so. This isn’t a new thing.

I’ve personally spoken to several pilots over the last 12 years and asked them how often they have to dip the nose of the plane to accommodate curvature as they navigate the globe earth. They’ve all given me the same answer: the nose of the plane never dips.
I also asked them what kind of surface they’re flying over - do they see any curvature as they fly or is it just a flat surface? They’ve all said the same: it’s flat.

@EdKrassen Because straw man-voter registration is a completely different thing. It’s a privilege to vote in this country. Selective Service, on the other hand, is a mandatory obligation. Automation is a cost saving measure.

Explain this, all you pro-Voter ID advocates:
Why don't we automatically register every eligible voter, and then have state databases that store their IDs virtually?
That way, every legal voter can vote, and every person can be confirmed to be a legal voter without needing a physical ID.
This would solve virtually every problem, but for some reason I don't think Republicans would support this because they know when more people vote, they usually lose elections.

The only thing this does is save money for taxpayers by not having to send out reminders to those turning of age. Dumbass.
