@WomenBeingAwful Well, actually, it's better to add the pasta before it boils so that the starches and whatnot can have a slower, better release and the pasta can cook more evenly throughout. We just normalized boiling first because that's what we've been doing for centuries.

@Mikecat1366 @conquertheno Ah, that's unfortunate. Personally, I enjoy taking these "what if" scenarios and taking them to as logical of an end as I possibly can. Kind of like a mental exercise, but I get to pick apart an entire scenario like it's a puzzle to be solved and have fun with.

Do we assume we have more than that? Or do we assume we have nothing at all besides what is shown in the image?

@Mikecat1366 @conquertheno Let's also assume we're in the tropics, where a lot of these islands will generally appear: what wood are you going to burn for the smoker? Use the wrong wood and you either die or the food tastes bitter and awful due to the saps that a lot of tropical woods have.

It only says that this is your food supply. None of the boats has got oars. They have motors, but if the fuel runs out, you will not be able to steer it.
