just saying it out here, - they were still at the same point 9 years back, same problems same challenges - i won one of these in my freshman year and was promised with 15L reward, which btw, not to be surprised about never never proceeded. no formalities no rewards, the authorities literally ghosted. after continuous complaining for months, they sent a third grade used tablet from olx in a broken box. Yes this is a true story.

🚨 There’s a large-scale supply chain attack in progress: the NPM account of a reputable developer has been compromised. The affected packages have already been downloaded over 1 billion times, meaning the entire JavaScript ecosystem may be at risk. The malicious payload works by silently swapping crypto addresses on the fly to steal funds. If you use a hardware wallet, pay attention to every transaction before signing and you're safe. If you don’t use a hardware wallet, refrain from making any on-chain transactions for now. It’s still unclear whether the attacker is also stealing seeds from software wallets directly at this stage. Excellent report here: jdstaerk.substack.com/p/we-just-foun…

Was reading & reflecting on the news about the proposed ban on real-money gaming apps. I strongly believe banning real-money skill games isn’t the solution. Blanket bans will only push users to offshore platforms. We have already seen this happen in crypto. Yes, addiction among users is a real risk. But there are better ways to protect them: -> Set daily/monthly spending limits to prevent overexposure -> Enforce strict verification to keep minors out and ensure only verified users can play -> Ban misleading ads like “get rich quick” and mandate responsible play messaging -> Require platforms to show players their win/loss ratios or odds of winning more clearly The goal should be to control the flow: bring the industry under structured domestic supervision, close loopholes, and give users all the information they need to play responsibly.

India's online skill-gaming sector has urged Home Minister Amit Shah to intervene against a proposed bill that seeks to ban all real-money games (RMG), warning it would devastate a fast-growing industry, kill over 2 lakh jobs and drive users to unregulated offshore platforms. Three leading industry bodies - the All India Gaming Federation (AIGF), the E-Gaming Federation (EGF), and the Federation of Indian Fantasy Sports (FIFS)-said the blanket ban undermines PM Modi's vision for a $1 trillion digital economy. In a letter dated August 19, the skill gaming industry bodies said the proposed legislation, if enacted, would “strike a death knell” for the legitimate, regulated online gaming industry in India. Moneycontrol has viewed a copy of the letter.
