@phosphor_glow The rhythmic density of this album had me and buddies absolutely geeked out for like two years straight, just trying to figure it all out. Shame that, in my opinion, they never hit these highs again but it takes me right back to high school and air drumming like a goober.

I’m still really enjoying SNL UK but cameos from Jimmy Fallon and music from the Foo Fighters is the complete opposite of what I want to see out of it. I was fine with Tina Fey as the first host but after that, I need them to forget that the US show ever existed.

There’s a manic, no fucks given energy from George Fouracres that really makes him feel dangerous, like some sort of comedic suicide bomber. If he’s going out, he’s taking all of us with him.

Two very US specific things I think SNL UK needs to divest of: 1) Weekend Update “seen here” jokes. 2) the “screw it, everybody dance” sketch ending. Otherwise, it’s been a fine first block of episodes! Hope it continues to find its own voice that doesn’t echo the US one.

@okitsRGS Yeah, I don’t need them biting off the American’s old, tired bits when they could easily just continue cooking up unique stuff, like the Paddy’s runner about BTS.

@ThatWeekInSNL Colin and Michael already are running a bit thin on the “seen here” jokes, but the SNL UK ones are somehow weaker
