@ritsukaxan Yeah, I understand, it's way easier to adapt loosely and "ad-lib" it, gives more wiggle room and is way faster, it's actually fairly difficult and requires broad regional understanding and proper skill to give proper 1:1 contrxtualized translations

@ThatWeirdTiger and in 90s were hard to notice this but when nowdays you can see many translations made by fans, and compare, welp, and they went nuts as soon as you pointed the elephant in the room, the egocentric of frustrated writers

while i agree translators-localizers, tend to force stuuff that is not in the script or text or they modify even characters personality etc. this is a wrong take, it dosnt matter if they were good or not , They were also going to be replaced by AI and that is the problem

@ritsukaxan A good translation and localization should always keep the joke in a way it's understandable but not change it into some other thing, that's why I personally call it contextualization and not translation per sé.

And im the first one who always went mad with translations (english ones even more) like : NO I DONT CARE ABOUT WHAAT YOUR THINK OR YOUR VISION , frustrated writer, you adapt , and do a faithful localization, period.
