I've honestly been resigned to falling into the lotto for a while so the copium has kind of been baked into me lmao.
But there's not a ton of difference between 5-8 in this draft (you can argue up to 9 even). Not moving up sucks. But falling two spots isn't the end of the world

The Giants now only have one first rounder (Bryce Eldridge) from the Zaidi era on their roster currently. That said, they still have the same scouting director who led those drafts. Two top-30 picks in this year’s draft now. They. Better. Not. Miss.

It’s obvious they’re going all in on the youth/draft pick.
It’s tough in the moment, I totally get it, but everything now is for the future, period.
