i think its really interesting that cassie is gobsmacked about the beauty maddie exudes naturally, but the viewer knows that maddie was waiting for her to show up first and was probably going through the motions in her head before getting out of the car. theyre both not past it

People so bad want to see Cassie lose, they forget Maddie struggling too. But so many women live vicariously through Maddie because they haven’t healed from their ex boyfriend trauma that now they need to hype Maddie up for everything forgetting Maddie display is fake.

I know that her character symbolizes confidence but the truth about her character is she fakes it but she makes it look good. She’s not as put together

@genzalternative @handmirrored Alot of y’all have trauma dealing with men who got with y’all best friend or just did y’all really dirty so you’re using Cassie character to project traumas because her character triggers you instead of actually understanding the storyline. They are both envious of one another.

@JoziKent @handmirrored Jealousy isn’t external. Jealousy isn’t just someone looks…jealousy is deep rooted. Cassie has the ring, the status of being a trophy wife, the kept wife, while Maddy is having to grind to build a portfolio. Maddy never wanted to work. She sees Cassie as someone who has it easy.

@taybrinattpd The point is to show how Cassie got everything she thought she wanted just to realize in the end it was never Nate that she wanted, she wanted confidence, self love, respect and a life of joy/ fulfillment, she outsourced it through Nate just to realize in the end that wasn’t it

Y’all are missing the entire point of their dynamic because y’all so bad want to see Cassie lose. Maddie wanted the life Cassie has and Cassie wanted the life Maddie has. They are jealous of each other and envy each other. Maddy thinks Cassie is blessed and vice versa.

@tomallenoffical The issue isn’t the scholarships or her going to college. The issue is the black community doing these extravagant celebrations for scholarships and acceptance letters just to then get a $50k-70k job after college. That’s the issue. They dont achieve nothing past the scholarship
