@The8bitidiot i have a whole box of i2C sensor and radio modules, esp32s, proto test devices... I can make a multispectrum imaging device with a couple hours and some free software from a github repository...

I agree if you're a grown man making $150k/yr, or even much less, you should never climb on a ladder to fix your roof But let's be real, nobody out there is doing it for $30/hr We had someone replace 3 shingles that blew off our roof last year and it was $500 for the 45 minutes he was up there

My hillbilly hot take is paying someone $11,000 to paint your house is possibly the biggest waste of money
Unless you're making over $572,000/yr it would make more sense to take a week off work and do it yourself
Painting is not hard and takes almost zero skill
