When schools, parents, and communities are disconnected, learning outcomes suffer. Children spend a significant part of their lives at home, so education cannot stop at the school gate. Parents and communities matter deeply especially in deprived areas. Video 51

From KG to Primary 3, 🇬🇭 has had a bilingual language-in-education policy since 2008 - teach in a Ghanaian language alongside English. The evidence is clear: when children learn first in a language they understand, their English proficiency actually improves over time.

Absolutely spot on! For the real transformation we seek in education on the continent, it requires like @garyvee puts it “macro patience, micro speed” Thank you Haogen for sharing this truth! @KwameNyat keep them coming!

Education delivers massive returns but not on an election timetable. The impact takes time. Often longer than a political cycle. Haogen Yao, Education Specialist at UNICEF, and he drops a truth we don’t talk about enough. Video 49!

Haogen highlights a critical challenge: leaders and governments must be willing to invest in education knowing the results may not show during their time in office, but will transform society in the long run. That mindset shift is essential.

📍Video 44 is here - and it hits at the heart of what education is really for. In this conversation, we speak with a former elementary school teacher and the Founder of Diaspora District, who surfaces two urgent gaps we can no longer ignore. 1/1

Guys… Tech in Ghana – The Royal Edition content is NOT done! Here’s Day 2 from Kumasi, The halls were alive -founders, builders, policymakers, dreamers. So I leaned in and asked the question that cut through the noise: “What is the REAL evidence of a great education system?”

📍Video 45 is here - and this one cuts deep. We speak to Richard King, Chief Impact & Sustainability Officer at Think Equal, who surfaces a question we can’t keep ignoring: 👉🏾 Where does socio-emotional learning truly sit in foundational education?

Video 46 is here - and this one hits a nerve. This time, we’re joined by Nana Ama, Assistant Director of Programs at @Edu_Collaborate , who makes a powerful case for something we often talk about, but rarely practice well: collaboration.

Another perspective on the Ghana University Education Conversation. When Kwame left Achimota to KNUST, he met a professor who gave him a different feeling of what he thought university education was about, then later a German lecturer came in with full practical lessons and he enjoyed that. When I said coming soon, I meant it. @TechInGhana content is far from done - Africa’s biggest EdTech enthusiast and storyteller still has a lot to share. Here’s a reel capturing Day 1 of the Royal Edition of Tech in Ghana – Kumasi and trust me… it was a movie
