Designers, how important is it for a logo to be personal rather than generic? For example, this was a rejected concept for a tech focused company called Quartz. Was it too generic to be chosen?

@ShinodaStudio I agree! How the brand elements work together is a lot more important than the logo.

@TheAliArda I think people in general overstate the importance of logos. They always mean nothing — and are only given significance with the context of everything else deployed in the brand. Color, type, proportion, texture...
