Around 2015/16 when this Nestoil building was commisioned, Ibos on Nairaland, in their usual way, boasted about how they've bought Yorubaland and taken over everywhere.

It was sealed at first with signages and tapes, some time early this year I started seeing Police vehicles in front of the place. I want to ask how wise it is to shutdown a blue chip company because of debt ? When we can just put a system in place that ensures activities are on and payment is made through a financial medium the company cannot hinder ? Nigeria is not ready to build, all they do is destroy. Owing is not a crime, lack of institutions that can recover debt without shutting down businesses is the crime against our Labour Market.

TCN begins upgrade of Alaoji–Onitsha transmission line to improve power supply in south east
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) says it has commenced implementation of a resettlement action plan (RAP), including the acquisition and clearing of right of way (RoW), for the reconstruction and upgrade of the 138km Alaoji–Onitsha 330 kilovolt (kV) transmission line.
The project is being carried out in partnership with the African Development Bank (AfDB), according to a statement by the company on Monday.
TCN said the exercise will upgrade the existing single-circuit line to a 330kV double-circuit quad-conductor transmission line.
