One of the biggest reason Apple is adding a second camera to the iPhone Air 2 is “Visual value” for the normal consumers With only 1 camera.. Air “Looks” cheaper than Standard iPhone.. specially in case.. consumers have been trained to read the iPhone hierarchy by the number and size of cameras.. 1 lens: budget.. 2 lens: standard.. 3 lens: Pro 2 camera.. like Standard Big plateau.. like Pro ..will instantly make the Air look right where it belongs.. between Standard and Pro PERFECT visual iPhone hierarchy

Yeh I feel like #3 is the only sensible option unless Apple makes a 2-in-1 camera design for main and ultrawide. (Because #2 is impossible due to the selfie camera on the front taking up the full internal space of the center of the camera plateau)

@TheAppleDesign When I get in touch with Samsung help center, this is what they tell me.

Samsung fans: we now get as many updates as iPhones The difference is Apple’s focus is delivering quality.. while Samsung always chase big numbers and gimmicks for marketing but failes at basic optimisation 7 years of updates means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING if the update destroys your display
