I'm happy to announce @troysterling will compose the music for Dunwich Horror! You can hear his work in the new trailer, make sure 🔊 is on!
Troy did an amazing job with Dreams in the Witch House, can't wait to hear what his Dunwich will sound like.

@ArchAbhor @DrakeVagabond Brave use of a drooling moron for someone who needs yellow paint lmao

I've noticed that remake fans only ever use protective language when defending the newer games, and extend no olive branch for the originals. No encouraging anyone to try the originals or promote a healthy coexistence. Just openly bashing the old to elevate the new.

happy 3rd anniversary resident evil 4 remake, we all love you

@Thunderfang7 @Cyber_Theosis > appeal to realism
> "video games aren't supposed to be better than real life"
Every time
English

@Cyber_Theosis I know that. But video games are supposed to be better than real life. It's kind of jarring when a video game character is less mobile than I am.
English

The only reason you have a issue with the tank controls is because you aren’t smart enough to remember key patterns for different games because your dopamine receptors have been fried from playing shitty modern games with the same control patterns.
「𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒉 𝑷𝒂𝒔𝒂 」@Condor_Noel
HERMANITO, los controles del RE4 son un horror. Ya entiendo todo esos gameplays duros que solia ver
English

@Cyber_Theosis When they say tank controls are horrible, what they mean is it doesn't control like The Last of Us. RE1? Not like TLOU, therefore bad. RE4? Not like TLOU, therefore bad. GoW Ragnarok? Like TLOU, therefore good. Original GoW? Not like TLOU, therefore bad. RE4 Remake? Take a guess.

@IsaiahToth_Dev You want to know more or less how long the line is, if it plays correctly when it's supposed to, if it's not swapped with another line, etc
English

What is the reason for “placeholder voice acting”??
Unless you are voicing characters your self so that the actual voice actors understand the tone, isn’t the text in a video game the “placeholder” for voice acting?
Bright Sunshine ☀️@KindaSortaMaebe
the same goes for “placeholder” voice acting. you want shitty microsoft robot voice as a placeholder voice line so it’s super obvious that it needs replacing. using ai for placeholder is a recipe for mistakes on a huge multi year project. any dev sees right through this PR lie.
English

@enigmoron @GOGcom It's more about them than Capcom at this point lol
English

While it’s quite a controversial topic, we believe that tank controls add to the intensity of the gameplay experience that defines the whole Resident Evil series.
We specifically kept them when reviving the original RE trilogy on our platform and adding it to the GOG Preservation Program, as we see them as part of the original experience and a necessary “friction” that ultimately adds to the masterpiece status of these classic titles.
And what’s your take? ;)
Last Chalice@lastchalice
Tank controls are easy. They can be understood by anyone willing to give them 20 minutes.

@Irish_god_man @AnoneySFWtan @mask_bastard It's not about whether Lanius leads the exact same way, it's about this moronic idea that Caesar was a smoothbrain who decided not to have a line of succession, which he did, indisputably
English

@TheAudioMan @AnoneySFWtan @mask_bastard We know when lanius takes over it goes to shit.
We have noting saying lead the extract same way
English

@TheAudioMan @AnoneySFWtan @mask_bastard Besides lanius
We know of no other successor
For all we know after lanius either fucked off or died.
They were just killing each other to lead
English

@Irish_god_man @AnoneySFWtan @mask_bastard That doesn't mean Caesar doesn't have a successor, though
English

@mask_bastard Caesar not having a successor is literally established in New Vegas, and not just by some obscure fictional text or anything like that either; Lanius taking over happens in-game if he dies and makes the Legion ending even worse if it's from failing Caesar's surgery.

@MorrowindRapist @RazorwireRPG I recommend it, with a note that as an older title, the controls are probably not what you'll be used to, but once you play for some time, they'll be second nature. There is a story and I'd say it's a damn good one. Not cutscene heavy, but atmospheric as all hell.
English

@TheAudioMan @RazorwireRPG Should I play it? Is it just gameplay focused or is there story as well?
English

"Chosen one" roleplaying games are so incredibly boring and I really wish we made a return to playing everyday plebs who build legends. I've never enjoyed playing as some destined hero, chosen by fate to save the kingdom or universe. In fact, I think the beauty of starting as a nobody, building your rep and then finding your crew is one of the best things about RPG's. Probably the reason I love the OG Fallout games and New Vegas, because despite having a background - you're still just some guy. I also love the idea of being someone who wanders town to town, growing your skills and unravelling the main story. I think Morrowind and Oblivion does this well, primarily because of the different guilds and houses. I guess what I'm saying is that I value games that are actual RPG's and not banal ego boosting "pick me" games.

@RazorwireRPG Gothic is still the king of such games. You start as the absolute nobody who can't even hold a sword properly and become the most powerful being in the game world.

English

@DimensionDreamr @RE_Games Older games are broken on Steam anyway, literally just get them on GOG
