If you are looking to explore Black music, creativity, and culture, consider Professor Leland Clarke’s (@LelandClarke2) course, CFA MH 409: Music of Black Americans. This course will be offered in the fall and is a great way to fulfill the Aesthetic Exploration Hub requirement.

Follow the progression of hip hop through the lens of religion in Associate Professor Margarita Guillory’s course, CAS AA 296/CAS RN 296 offered this fall. Check out this exciting course when the planner opens on Monday, March 6th!

CAS HI 298/ CAS AA 371: African American History will be offered this fall and taught by Assistant Professor Paula Austin (@ProfPAustin). Check out this course in the BU course description search!

Today we are highlighting CAS EN 129/CAS AA 103: Introduction to African American Literature. This course is available to take this fall and the only prerequisite is a CAS WR 120 or an equivalent course. Check out this exciting course when the planner opens on Monday, March 6th!

A new Hub Cocurricular will be offered this summer, HUB CC 107! This experience will fulfill the Hub requirement of TWC and dig into what it means to be your healthiest self at BU. The Hub is teaming up with BU Student Wellbeing. This course will also be available in Fall 2023

To honor Black History Month, the BU Hub will be highlighting some amazing courses with Hub requirements that explore African American history and culture. If you have taken any courses that you think should be featured, let us know in the comments below!
