No matter the game, Cal Hubbard was super. Enshrined in Cooperstown 50 years ago in honor of his celebrated umpiring career, Hubbard is the only person to be inducted into both the National Baseball Hall of Fame and the @ProFootballHOF.

Fifty years ago, in December 1975, arbitrator Peter Seitz declared the reserve clause null and void, granting free agency to pitchers Andy Messersmith and Dave McNally. Through their efforts and the contributions of other trailblazers like Curt Flood and Catfish Hunter, the game was forever changed.
