Spent my afternoon with @TheBeeHiveGHS Girard basketball coach Larry Seneta. We highlighted his new book, "Larry Seneta A Legendary Legacy" and asked him what inspired him to write it. His 'Jackets won the 1998 state title in AA girls. Full story on @JET24Sports at 6:20.

Boys basketball Brekken Hedderick had 23 points, 12 assists and 7 rebounds, while Noah Cano had 18 points, Colin Buckley added 12 as Greenville beat Kennedy Catholic 70-59. Kenny Godoy had 28 points and 10 rebounds as Girard beat Fairview 45-43.

District 10 boys basketball region champions! 1-Lakeview 2-Rocky Grove 4-Hickory 5-Warren 6-Girard 7-McDowell Erie First Christian, Mercyhurst Prep tied for first in Region 3. Grove City (4), Sharon (4), Fort LeBoeuf (5), Cathedral Prep (7) can still share the region title.

Zach Kelley has been rolling lately and had 30 points tonight, while Kenny Godoy had 18 and Ryan Pratt added 10 as Girard beat Franklin 78-39 in boys basketball.

Girard grad Nate Edwards tied his career high with 16 points as Penn State Behrend beat Mt. Aloysius 86-57 in men's basketball.

I think Girard was mad about the big loss to Prep last night. The YellowJackets beat Erie First Christian 84-61 behind 40 points from Kenny Godoy! Ryan Pratt also had 14 for Girard.
