Johnnywho looks like one for the Ultima to me, similar to Wichita Lineman

Precise is very short in Guineas only 1 horse has won with such low DI and CD in 30 runnings on good ground or better. 1M 2F should be her best trip.

@olibellracing Negative two in front of her Zooming and Ellusive Butterfly ran since couldn't land a blow in Listed company. Trip should help but needs bit of cut.

I might be going completely mad but… Silenciosa at 150/1 is way too big a price in the 1000 Guineas. Travelled into the Fred Darling like a good horse and then met a lot of trouble. Needs to step forward but can see her outrunning her odds in a big way

Secondly Balding relies on Mubasimah 80/1 ew 4pl. Dosage Index and CD suggest a mile will bring improvement. Ignore last run she looked bad in coat and now apparently looking healthier expect different show here. Hopefully she can nick a place (started favourite in GP3 Nell Gwyn)

Come down on 2 longshots fillies can just massively improve. First Rose Ghaiyyath 40/1ew 4 pl. Form been franked on previous runs but what I find interesting that Richard Hughes had 2nd America Queen in the Nell Gwyn and did not entertain Guineas suggesting this filly is better.

1000 Guineas backed True Love last yr but concerned about if she'll stay, Dosage Index and CD say sh'll not stay. The Prettiest Star has best staying pedigree DI and CD but may want ground not firm. Similar applies to Venetian Sun, both should improve with step up in trip here.

Backed Bow Echo last year but on looks I thought Gstaad would improve past him. Wrong way round but two very good horses that left the others off the screen.

Gstaad I think will take the beating in Newmarket Guineas. Dewhurst form has been franked numerous times. Interesting O'Brien relies on him. Drawn ideally where he can get cover. Looks like he's got a lot stronger from 2 to 3. That gives him the edge over second choice Bow Echo

Group horse in handicap. That'll be the last handicap for Double Rush. Addison Grey gave chase one to take out the race.

Why is @oismurphy not jocked up on the '8lb well in' Double Rush at Newmarket on Saturday and instead jocked up on Sir Les Patterson

@arran_n Unfortunately @WilliamHill are pushing more and more people away. Seen it happening where they had loads of good regular punters for years and years and then they stop them betting then they wonder why they're doing so bad, just badly run now. Pushing punters to the black market.

Road To Home who gets decent ground (missed Scottish National due to ground) has long been aimed over here. Mullins huge string think its huge positive that he was the only entry for Mullins in both races. 9/2 you can get 4 places. I'd make him favourite.

Newbury 3.10 Spring Cup Cogitate 25/1 e/w finished 7th in this last year and gets chunks of weight from Ebt's Guards and Urban Lion. Although they're saying high draw is best this week, stats show low to middle draw is best (drawn 3)

Herakles Westwood 18/1 5places e/w is other pick, maybe excuses at Cheltenham was travelling well and may have needed it with wind op, usually second run is time to catch them. Trainer said horse is a Welsh National horse and if so should enjoy this ground.

Like two in Ayr Scottish National firstly King of Answers 6/1 finished 2nd at Cheltenham when one of few coming from the back during the week. Lucinda Russell has her team firing for her Ayr.

@MichaelTK1973 @YoungmanMj Ground is currently soft g/s in places, more rain forecast they've entered KR the week after at Sandown in the B365 possible back up plan if ground is soft at Ayr

Looking ahead to the Scottish Grand National the race will clearly cut up when 5 day decs are announced. Not convinced we will get a full field. In terms of trends, one significant one is the OR of the winners. Since 2011 the 14 winners have been rated between 134-146 which is an incredibly narrow spacing for a marquee race such as this.

Two at prices Champs Kiely who ran a super fast time as a Novice Grade 1 at Punchestown. Probably could have done without the downpour that has slowed times down today. Imperial Saint 50/1 e/w loves Aintree and maybe able to sneak into a place.

Iroko scoped dirty in Ultima, hopefully recovered fully. Jagwar could chase him home, ran huge race at Cheltenham when no horses were coming from the back, needs to not get too far back. I Am Maximus solid for place terms.

Aintree Grand National value is Iroko 18/1 6 places, excuses in Ultima when it was never a target. End of November finished 2 and half lengths behind the King George winner The Jukebox Man and believe not many of these could have got that close. Year older now should be stronger.
