Do you know how we got our name? Sarah Hicks (pictured) was known as Boo to family & friends. She very sadly passed away from cancer in 2002 but before her death she searched for alternative treatment in Kenya. Whilst there she built friendships and began helping people (1/2)

These are KIMTA after school students. This programme is tuition for students learning in the nearby schools (both secondary and primary), whose homes aren't lit or spacious enough for homework. At the KIMTA centre we provide text books & essential amenities #education #charity

Esther received a sewing machine, cutting table, stool, charcoal iron, license & 3 months’ rent from the Boo Charity Business Roots Programme. After making her graduation dress, word spread about the great quality and she now has a large clientele #opportunitynotcharity #business

KIMTA run a football club initiative in #Kibera, a renowned slum in #Nairobi. KIMTA use #football to educate youth on #HIV & #AIDS, reproductive health & alternatives to crime. The Boo KIMTA annual football tournament kicks off in December boo-charity.org.uk/projects/kiber… #charity #youth

Throughout the pandemic and whilst schools were shut, we distributed food parcels to support families. Food parcels include rice, beans, sugar and soap. Produce such as tomatoes are grown in the greenhouse at the Nyamache Life Skills Centre and sold. boo-charity.org.uk/projects/fund-…
