I’ve been slow on keeping up with requests as I’ve been finalizing this year’s calendar, but four people asked for a set from The Creek over the last two days, so I’m compelled by the LinksGems bylaws to fill it. Besides, this 1923 C.B. Macdonald/Seth Raynor gem on Long Island’s Gold Coast is one of my favorite golf courses. The first 5 holes on the south side of the clubhouse, which used to be the knock on this course, have been vastly improved by Gil Hanse and are now the equal to the rest of the course. The final 13 holes on the Sound side are remain some of the best golf holes you’ll find on Long Island or anywhere else. Best of all, the course is just stupendously fun to play.
