The UK has eased sanctions against Russia by indefinitely allowing the import of diesel and kerosene refined from Russian oil in third countries. In practice, this means Russian crude can still end up indirectly powering parts of the British economy after being processed elsewhere. Hard to see the difference other than British consumers paying a premium so everyone can pretend it’s no longer Russian oil. They might as well buy it from source.
