Been signing a lot of dogs for next season. There’s still a lot of scholarship money on the table. Drop the film, men👇 #unsignedsenior #recruiting

@web3_prince2 @Hoopss Respectfully, Shaq would break Chet. Prime Shaq had 100 pounds on him and Kobe would have studied every nuance of Shai’s game. This is laughable
English

@Hoopss Chet is already a better rim protector than Shaq ever was, and Shai’s bag makes Kobe look like a role player. It’s not 2002 anymore, the skill gap between these eras is embarrassing

@TweetsbyCoachP It’s brutally honest but it’s the truth. Sad when the expectations are higher for students than the adults. Kids get dragged all the time for “ghosting” coaches.

“Why won’t the coach tell me they aren’t interested?”
This has been the most frequently asked question during my time on this platform. One of the hardest realities for families to understand in the recruiting process is this: college coaches rarely say “no” directly.
Instead, “no” often shows up in different forms…..slower responses, less frequent and less substance in the communication, generic messages, being told to “keep us updated”, or simply no communication at all. To a hopeful family, that can all feel like the door is still somewhat open. In reality, it usually means the athlete is not a priority at that time, or possibly ever.
Why don’t coaches just say it clearly? There are a few reasons. Recruiting is fluid…..rosters change, needs shift, and situations evolve quickly. A coach may not see a fit today but doesn’t want to completely close the door in case something changes down the line. There’s also a relationship component. Coaches don’t want to discourage a young athlete or damage connections with high school programs and coaches.
There are also things coaches simply can’t say. They can’t always be fully transparent about where an athlete ranks on their board. They won’t openly compare recruits or explain every internal decision. And in many cases, they’re managing hundreds of prospects at once so clear, direct conversations with each one just aren’t realistic.
But here’s the important part: just because a coach didn’t say “no” doesn’t mean it’s a “yes.” Learning to read the signals: communication frequency, specificity of interest, invitations to campus, who is doing the communicating, and where you stand relative to their needs is critical.
Clarity in recruiting doesn’t always come from what is said. More often, it comes from what is consistently shown, or not shown. When families understand that, they can make better decisions, focus their energy in the right places, and take back control of the process.

@TheC_Reed Reclass is a different topic, but depends on what the reason for reclassing was I guess. I’m against all forms of playing down if that helps haha.
English

@TweetsbyCoachP My condolences to you and your family, Coach. Praying for peace throughout this most difficult time

@midnight_sport @SChrisReed @djones8301 @GDayHoopScout @bigsloan32 @BallSoHardSS @Extraeyesmedia You should be able to message me

@Jacoby_27 @MarchMadnessMBB Pretty sure that play didn’t decide the game
English

Billy Richmond got a Flagrant 2 and was ejected for this!
Caleb Foster lowers his shoulder with twice as much contact and its a “Hard Foul”
They literally have different rules for Duke and Arkansas @MarchMadnessMBB
English

@RowdyPurdue The right way? Be different- be an unbiased Purdue fan. The exact same calls you got away with against Texas had the tides gun on you against Arizona. Ebb and flow. It wasn’t even a close game but yall stay on here whining!
English

@JaySpann24 @AmariJsames I recently learned the (very big) difference between these “pop up prep” schools and Ivy-like post grad programs. There is such a huge difference, and they both prep academically for college and give a developmental extra year
English

@TheC_Reed @AmariJsames You know if you grey shirt at a JUCO you don't waste any eligibility while getting to practice everyday and actually take real good college courses that will transfer and put you closer to earning your degree. But sure let's direct kids to these extended AAU programs
English

@BoilerMuse IF- bro they did the EXACT SAME THINGS against Texas and got away with it. Stop whining and take the L…just like last year with Houston.
English

@JaySpann24 @RobCInTheGym Maybe it’s equalizing the age issue. 18 year olds are having to deal with reclass, double reclass kids, then competing for roster spots with 26 year olds. What if it’s a scholarship opportunity?
English

@BoilerBallerrr Imagine that Purdue wouldn’t even have beaten Texas if they called the dirty hooks and holds.
English

@BoilerMuse You leave the way you arrived. Some completely BS calls on Texas big when TKR was booking and holding happened the game before. Don’t whine now when the flow is in the opposite direction.
English

@GoldandBurner Where were these same complaints about the physicality when Purdue was doing the EXACT same things to Texas?
