Like Bendapudi, Schatzel is required to live in Amelia Place, the university-owned house in Cherokee Triangle. When I briefly spoke to her a few minutes ago, she didn't know that was in her contract but said she planned on living there and seemed pretty excited about it.

Incoming U of L President Kim Schatzel will make $925,000 a year -- more than what Neeli Bendapudi was making. She'll also receive $200,000 in retirement funds each year on top of that.
