Hello @LCFC
I’m Olaogun, a winger also played as a striker from Nigeria. I’ve spent the last 3 years training daily to get one shot at professional football.
I’m not asking for a contract. I’m asking for 7 days on trial to show you what I can do. If I’m not good enough, I’ll walk away with no hard feelings.
I’m fast, direct, and I work harder than anyone on the pitch.
My highlights are here: @Olaogun9" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">youtube.com/@Olaogun9
Thanks,
Olaogun

We can confirm that 10 Men’s First Team players will depart upon the expiration of their contracts this summer. We would like to thank all those leaving us for their contributions during their time on Filbert Way, and wish them the very best for the future.

🚨Gather Sheffield Wednesday will have a new kit manufacturer heading into next season.. with the return of Umbro from the club's 80s/90s heyday.

@SimmsLCFC89 It would be a nice thing to have but whilst we are under licence with Adidas it will be unlikely unless it’s a ‘brandless’ replica shirt.

@MindfulDIY Either you or your 'Italian nonna' is a lying cunt, because that is NOT the way to prepare mince, let alone the way to prepare a ragu.

@JuneBB18 @RaminNasibov Real people who are not on secret missions, only missions to get quickly inebriated ask for stirred martinis 😉

@TheChairmanChau @RaminNasibov You said it right. Stirred, not shaken. Shaken waters down the alcohol. Perfect for 007 types on a mission, only.

@The_Kitsman Unreal, industry leading behaviour.
Most sustainable kit since the 1900's, has to be!

@talkSPORT @grok what issues was Chris dealing with before the fight?
English

@The_Dassler 2 big points you have raised which are an issue for me:
Short notice drops
Lack of sizing info before release (relying on channels such as sneaker annexe for sizing guides is far from what you expect from Adi - NO shade to S.A. love Danny's work)

Let's have a talk about adidas Spezial
If you want
Or more specially, let's address how shoddily the range is presented and sold through the adidas stores and Confirmed App
Personal opinions about the designs, colours, and overall desirability of the collections change just like the seasons
Some of you find the latest SPZL range boring. Some of you find it pretty decent, and some of you find it neither here nor there. Basically, the same as what happens with every Spezial drop
But with the opening of the store in Manchester, after numerous mishaps at Carnaby Street, and with the Confirmed App centre to the frustrations, let's delve deeper than just whether it looks good or not
Every drop is only ever announced by curator Gary Aspden, in a coordinated effort with retailers and adidas themselves. In 2025, announcing premium ranges valued at thousands of pounds in RRP, with next to no notice, is there any need for it? More notice would mean it can be planned and saved for, as many people who wear the Mod Trefoil have done, and will continue to do so, using Klarna, Clear Pay, the credit card, any means necessary to secure 300 quid jackets on a weeks notice
It should be noted that it isn't just Spezial that drops on short notice, but it is carefully curated as we are often reminded
But the real issue lies with the store events and even just trying to buy the items
To attend a store event, you must use the Confirmed App to procure a ticket. Then arrive hours before time, to queue and give yourself a chance to purchase what you would like, as these events are hugely popular, and this is all seemingly normal in practice
Yet the stores have next to no stock for these events. You haven't much chance of getting what you would like
This is not helped by having "VIPs" walk up five minutes before time and are allowed access to the store by themselves, right in front of everyone else who has had to queue for hours, and maybe buying the only pair of that size, or smock in a certain size, but it's sparse pickings to begin with
This means someone who has had to get a ticket through the Confirmed App, (which knows what size the attendee is, plus could easily ask what items would be potentially bought), spends hours in a queue to miss out
A combination of terrible stock levels at the adidas store, and also favoured access to product
Then, when items are listed to go online, they are, of course, exclusive to the Confirmed App
Which is a laggy, buggy, diabolical mess of an app that is used to sell the most desired products the brand offers
There is no published list of stockists, and it changes with each seasonal offering, but it can be quite hard work shopping for SPZL pairs, made no easier by the brand
There are no reliable sizings charts produced any more, and coupled with no product being seeded (except to famous people who don't communicate with the riff raff that's expected to buy the range), means no sizing help is offered by the brand, or the team that curates it
Is it time for adidas Spezial to have its own accessible section on the general adidas App?
Where images can be loaded instead of relying on an Instagram account to put the word out. Where pit to pit sizes amongst other measurements could be added BEFOREHAND, so people have a clue what is the actual size of the garment they're being asked to spend hundreds of pounds on
There has to be evolution, surely. I have seen far too many people attending events, having to leave feeling frustrated and upset at both Fouberts Place in London and now the adidas Manchester store
It's a premium range inspired by history. Where will its place be remembered in history in the years to come?
Something you tapped on a screen for, or something you went and bought at an event
Give folk a chance, prioritise the store launch stockpiles
And fuck off the VIPs, you want to attend an event, get in the queue like everyone else
Let's have a conversation about adidas Spezial

@oralon That's a sealed original 2000 release. I don't agree with the 1999 price tag - but you won't find many sat around in this condition.
