Their album prompted a huge discussion about "the loudness wars," as it was so compressed that it was deemed practically unlistenable by many folks. That would have been a great audio example, imo

@planetmoney I'd like to hear your opinions re:investing in human beings. In the novel "The Unincorporated Man," humans are incorporated and don't own majority of themselves - shareholders are parents, gov't,schools, corps, etc., who bought stock on 2nd markets. Can we do this?

@thechase Well it is very important that each instrument fill it's specific rhythmic space and not step on other people. Young musicians love to overplay as a way of showing how they've progressed. But the goal needs to be the entire performance gelling together.

@SwitchedOnPop I enjoyed your episode on "Space." I'd like to hear your thoughts on the other aspect of space in music - rhythmic space. I'm constantly talking to my bandmates about playing less and letting grooves breathe... What do you guys think?
