The junta coup regime's leader, Min Aung Hlaing, has officially transferred the Commander-in-Chief role to General Ye Win Oo during a significant ceremony held today in Naypyitaw, Myanmar.
This pivotal transition reinforces Myanmar's military grip on power amid the ongoing political crisis.
The junta parliament, firmly controlled by the military's Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) that won every contested seat in the election, also nominated Min Aung Hlaing for a Vice Presidential position. This strategic nomination paves the way for an upcoming presidential selection, potentially influencing Myanmar's political landscape.
Furthermore, the newly appointed Commander-in-Chief of the junta has committed to transforming the Tatmadaw by building modern, advanced weapons and technology under his leadership.
