@TheKarmiDance Hopefully you’re in a better place now, but have been able to maintain that perspective. Things taste sweeter when you know the taste of sour all too well.

The more I hear people say #outsideisfree, the more I hate the saying. Yes, outside is technically “free”, but the catchphrase also usually glosses over how much ppl spend on their outdoor gear, and the disproportionate ease of access to the outdoors.

@Pflax1 Similar to when there are two lanes of traffic to cross. One car stops, waves for you to go through, car in the next lane doesn’t. I’ve had it happen 100 times and when I don’t follow the waving drivers recommendation to cross because of an oncoming car, I get the stink eye.

Another finer point that's probably tough for many drivers to understand. My decision making at intersections is above all guided by what I think is safest for me. I'm not confused about the rules. I often am forced to improvise in an environment that is not built for my safety.

If you are driving a car and I am riding a bicycle and we are both at stop signs at an intersection, you don't get to decide who goes first. Stop trying to wave me through if you got there first. Being in a way bigger vehicle doesn't deputize you to control right of way.

@angryasian Fully agree. I’d love to only ride, but unfortunately it’s just not possible. Can’t express how much I enjoy not driving around the city of boulder though and utilizing our e-bike. Maybe @BCycle locations where driving commuters can park and ride into the city.

First: I fully appreciate that e-bikes won’t work for everyone, everywhere, all the time. That said, they can work great for a lot of people, in a lot of places, and a lot more times than you might think.

@lownote I’d probably find some coolers the same dimension of the cargo box and use that to keep it hot.Possibly check out Home Depot or google something for tackleboxes or something that you keep nuts and bolts in.They usually have customizable plastic pieces you could use for the cups

@TheCoffeeRide believe it or not, multiple Google's to see if a solution already existed pointed me to your website. That second idea sounds doable. Guess I need to start drafting something up

@TheCoffeeRide This might be ridiculous, but I ran into a problem this morning and I think you're uniquely capable of answering it: Is there a best way to position cups of coffee in a cargo bike to avoid spillage beyond 'use a sealable mug?'

Why does none of this surprise me in the least? I mean, the kid supposedly didn't mean to ruthlessly run down six helpless cyclists with his Ford Super Duty diesel soot-belching truck, so it's all good, right? jalopnik.com/attorney-for-t…

@antmccrossan were coffee roasters in Colorado. Would love to hear more about team coffee culture, coffee setups on team busses, if any team cars have coffee setups in them and how many coffees some of the riders have before a stage.

@mitchellbyars Also just getting jobs to chase money shouldn’t have to be a thing. You should be able to do what you love. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve been told to just go work for google during my lifetime.

And for all those that responded to this with, "Well get a new job," that misses the point. We should pay reporters a living wage. Relying on a constant revolving door of new people or those who are already financially sound is not how you get a competent and diverse newsroom

I've been at the @dailycamera for about a decade, with increasing duties and responsibilities every year. I've never made $45K in a year. Only once have I even made more than $40K

@philgaimon Lauren’s been a bad ass for years without much recognition on the bike. She’s had a super tough comeback after almost loosing her life a few years ago in a crash. If he takes the time to help her succeed, he’s alright in my book. Let’s not take away from what Lauren accomplished.
