Friend of mine owns an HVAC company with $6m+ revenue / 26% EBITDA margins
He expects 10x, 100% cash at close
Private equity will never pay that
26% EBITDA margin is unsustainable under any other future ownership other than him
PE knows the business requires additional resources in the office to support ops and the need to invest in marketing, which is why paying on 26% margins just won’t happen

@TheCoinChief @Oldincrypto127 hopefully you used the loan to buy something or invest it somewhere that more than covers the interest payments but if you just blow the money then, yes. But also the asset should be appreciating faster than the interest that’s due
