A voluntary organisation aiming to facilitate connections to help local vulnerable communities in the Blackburn with Darwen area uplift and empower themselves.
Last week, we delivered a private sewing workshop for families who had been evacuated from Afghanistan in partnership with @blackburndarwen, @Calico_Group and @TheConnectHubUK.
We have have been busy behind the scenes. In-line with our goal of empowerment through holistic methods, our sewing programme is well under way! To find out more, get in touch. Special thank you to @blackburndarwen @OCOFBWD for funding this project.
‘Measure twice, cut once’ Our attendees learnt to cut templates for traditional clothes (with a touch of retail therapy!) Session #2 ended with a serene guided meditation delivered by @imocharity Heartfelt thanks to ‘Fatima’s Collection’ for the generous donation of fabrics.
