A Czech take on Tolkien is really gonna become a reality. Can’t imagine a better studio to adapt LOTR into an open-world RPG. I can already picture the beautiful codex and UI 😍 This is going to be the best adaptation of LOTR since Peter Jackson’s movies, mark my words!

New cards released every 2 months in @Showdown_TCG is huge news! Will certainly make the meta feel fresh 🔥

Since the last balance change, 14,000 matches were played. Among the 5 most popular combinations, 4 included the Bureaucrat class, so in buffing the class we went a little over the top. Thankfully, our design of Showdown's game economics allows us to update cards frequently to keep the game fresh. Except for Bureaucrat, all other classes are in a healthy state. Overall direction: The goal is to bring the power level of all classes back into balance – we did that with the expected nerf to Fatal Fortune and by buffing 1 card in each of the other classes. Future path with seasonal changes: We will introduce new cards regularly, once every 2 months, while rotating a few old ones out. If the meta becomes unhealthy, we will introduce small balance changes after 1 month of gameplay.

The new balance update is live! I really like these changes, but not sure if it will be enough to dethrone Bureaucrat. Fatal Fortune is still looking strong 😅
