Phil's email from @hostinguknet yesterday summarised "bad long remembered good quickly forgotten". Yesterdays downtime was a sudden shock and headache (working today to catch up) over 10 years plus for me HostingUK has been exceptionally good. Yesterday quickly forgotten for me.

@hostinguknet looks like any emails someone tried to send me up to 12:16 arrived ok then any email they sent to me from around 15:15 but any emails anyone sent between 12:16 and 15:15 (3 hours window) have been totally lost in the down time #emailnightmare no idea what is lost!

@hostinguknet as of seconds ago Hosting UK website back up ! My servers both back online and email is working again so service lost on this occasion from around 12:15 to nearly 16:10 i.e. almost 4 hours and expensive downtime for many no doubt but back up now!

@hostinguknet some website on one of my servers working but not email, nothing on other server and HostingUK webwite is still down as at 16:05 last Iomart update was at 13:16 saying would be back working "shortly" cannot login to either server says internal error...

@hostinguknet one of my servers is back online now so some websites back up and running hostinguk website still seems down my other server not yet back online

For me though still no websites or emails working so my servers are still offline at present!

Nothing more for an hour from @hostinguknet but latest Iomart update is "iomart System Status Last modified: March 29, 2018 @ 3:16 pm UPDATE 15:14 Customers who’ve been affected by our outage should see their services start to resume shortly.

@markemckechnie @hostinguknet @ZayoGroup seem to be the ones behind the iomart fibre network problems today it would seem. No mention of the issues on the Zayo twitter feeds though not a single tweet @hostingnightmare

@TheCotters @hostinguknet Easyspace have a network fault which may be causing the issue?

Has @hostinguknet gone bust a mid-day today? All servers, all websites (including their own) no telehone connection to their support desk it does not even ring. Have clients screaming at me what is going on! #hostinguk no accesss to DNS settting to be able to move key resources!

@markemckechnie @hostinguknet "Easyspace Ltd as part of the iomart group" so still part of the iomart group like hostinguk! Same group same network have not yet found a non iomart hosting provider affected !!!

@AnnieGivs @hostinguknet Hi @AnnieGivs it will be your data centres location not your phyical location that is affected. Have been with @hostinguknet for over ten years very good until this #hostingnightmare lost a lot of faith today though. Will take a lot to restore faith as costing me time & money!

@TrainingLines @hostinguknet Latest update just now on Iomart websites says "The network breaks are affecting other communications providers as well as iomart.". I have just checked 123-reg.co.uk and a number of other hosting companies and not found another one down yet!

I have two dedicated servers with @hostinguk mulitple websites multiple emails and mulitple clients on my servers. People are not very happy to say the least. Little info and no idea when will be fixed! Two breaks on the network as same time sounds like sabotage or complacency twitter.com/eaglebookshop/…

@hostinguknet @hostinguk Seems down since around 12:20 today so 2 hours and counting. I already have clients saying they will move their business now. I have two dedicated servers with you running multiple websites and multiple emails so this could finish my small business off too!

@TheCotters Not gone bust. Network issues affecting affecting customers with services in our Northern part of the ring (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, St Asaph).

@hostinguknet Glad you have not gone bust but if you don't fix this pronto my small company that has two dedicated servers with you will go bust as I cannot even access your website to change DNS and get email/websites working again for clients or myself as a crucial time of the month!
