@TheCountofS was trying to think of a way to describe the surface-level or cargo cult thinking applied to many designs in recent years as I was writing this and this seems to be the most concise

Halo is missing the small things like having military technicians and support staff to reinforce the narrative of the armor and the person in it. That sense of collectivism goes harder than the cosmic horror, the ancient mystery and the combined arms put together.

@arainydancer If I had to describe an iconic creative choice from your work. It would be that car door shot. Not to be overly dramatic, but you can own that one, it's impressive!

I have to actively stop myself from sticking my cameras to car doors in my animations every time there is a car in the scene. It's such a cool technique but I don't want to overuse it or it loses impact. It calls to me like the green goblin mask
