My 2025 Game of the Year: Expedition 33. In a year full of mind boggling games that bent genres and drove the entire industry forward, this one stands above the rest. Maybe my favorite pure RPG ever. It’s flawless from top to bottom- combat, story, visuals and artistic style, fun factor. But it also shatters the bar for sound design and soundtrack. My jaw was on the floor the entire time. From the moment it started until the credits rolled. Even more than all the effusive praise I could give this game though it is one of the most substantial watermarks for a changing of the guard in gaming. One where small, passionate, and creative teams deliver things that teams 1000 times their size never do. In a world full of AAA garbage and repeating themes, this game is a signal to what is to come from the industry. We will look back at this one and see that there were games that set the standard before it, but this one blasted the door wide open. It was a joy to play. And I look forward to this new standard of excellence in 2026. @expedition33

After hundreds of attempts offline Simon was finally defeated on stream in just 3 hours. Never in my life have I faced a boss this hard (I've only played two soulsborne games). Dealing with a bug preventing jump parries for the reserve party didn't make this any easier.

If I only knew that I could do a Subathon and not only take days off but also only stream 3 hours a day during prime time hours! The 33 non-stop streaming days and nights I endured would have been so much easier had this knowledge been available. Now I feel real silly.
