Kudos to @guardian for reporting objectively on Serbia, but I don’t understand why they felt the need to publish a spin dictator’s letter full of lies and ugly spins. 🔗 theguardian.com/world/2025/aug… Let me fact-check Vučić’s letter for you. ⸻ Lie (or half truth at best) #1: The protests “recently turned violent.” Truth: It was the regime that escalated matters in mid-August by unleashing loyalist thugs, who attacked protesters with full police complicity. Some protesters did respond with violence (potentially by infiltrated provocateurs, they have a strong track record of doing this) but it was the regime who deliberately started the last cycle of violence just to be able to blame protesters for it. The sequence of events is well documented: 🔗 crd.org/2025/08/14/ser… I personally witnessed a similar setup in Belgrade on 14 August. ⸻ Lie #2: “Police actions have remained limited and restrained, and targeted only those who damaged property or assaulted officers.” Truth: The level of police brutality and repression since the 2nd week of August has been unprecedented since the Milošević period in the 1990s. Many of our students were arrested and beaten. Following the alleged sonic attack on thousands of people holding a silent vigil during the mass protest in Belgrade, Serbia, on 15 March 2025, Earshot conducted a comprehensive investigation. This included analysis of audio from 19 videos, the aggregation of over 3,000 written statements from attendees, and 15 in-depth Earwitness interviews with protestors positioned along Kralja Milana Boulevard. This research led Earshot to conclude that it is highly likely that protestors were subjected to a targeted attack using a directional acoustic weapon. The conclusions of the report contradict claims made by the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation and Serbian authorities, that the disturbances were caused by crowd-generated sounds such as pyrotechnic and incendiary devices.

Mi, studenti u blokadi Akademije umetnosti u Novom Sadu, želimo da podsetimo da online nastava nije opcija sve dok se studentski zahtevi ne ispune. Iako pritisci rastu, mi im ne podležemo. Stojimo solidarno uz kolege koji trpe pritiske. Do ispunjenja zahteva!

Kratko podsećanje za one koju su zaboravili zbog čega su "junaci" uhapšeni. Ti "junaci" su devojci smrskali vilicu. Nakon "junačkog podviga" premijer države daje ostavku. Mnogo o čoveku govori to koga smatra junakom.

Naš profesor je proveo dan s nama ispred Suda u Novom Sadu, otišao na intervju, rekao neke divne stvari i vratio se da sedi s nama na istom mestu. Imati ovakve ljude uz sebe je privilegija!
