@TheCrispyPigeon @AppleSmoke2 @NSilverwind @midiwashere Interesting, i thought the see through cartridge was a special thing for crystal, and that rather gbc exclusive cartridges didn't (quite literally) cut the corner, you know the one where a DMG's power switch normally hooks into.

@My1xT @AppleSmoke2 @NSilverwind @midiwashere Yes sir, the games that work for both legitimately are on a black cartridge, and the GBC exclusives are on the see through carts if I'm not mistaken. The issue arises in how easy bootlegs for GB/C are easy to make, but something like MGS on GBC is an exclusive.

Sure those were all exclusive (like pokemon crystal) and not just gbc enhanced (like pokemon gold/silver). But iirc the gbc is mostly a minor upgrade offering a color screen and a better cpu

@AppleSmoke2 @NSilverwind @midiwashere Which I always find weird, because the GBC has over 100 exclusive games that can't run on the original Gameboy. It is definitely far more it's own thing than a revision when that many can't play on the OG, but it is what is. Nintendo themselves made the classification.

People who play like this never play games where movement is a key mechanic. Quake, Unreal, Tribes, and Titanfall all have different fast-paced high movement skill ceilings, but they don't want to play them because they know they'll get thrashed by dudes who make them slow.

@TheCrispyPigeon even though i've only let a few people try this old prototype, the thing i'm most proud of (aside from the system not causing rpgmaker to explode in general) was creating fully functioning input buffer systems and hitbox viewer

#rpgmaker ive been fighting the boss i made like multiple times per day just because i think it's fun to defend against his moves. the resulting action sells the vision of the game really well, i think.

Been a minute since I tried doing these tweets. Pokemon Crystal is a pretty nice third version, I enjoy some of the minor changes to pokemon on routes and the QoL stuff like town names when you enter, Eusine is a enjoyable one off character, etc. more of what I already loved.

All the Z movies bosses being added with the caption "Budokai Tenkaichi Returns" was such a good feeling. Looking forward to every bit of this game.

@sunshineflames All the time really, right there tied as my favorite game of all time, and replayed it 7 times already. It's just so smooth, and I love how different each character feels to play.

Despite my gripes, I still love Soulstice. Stylish action game with a nice callbacks in the camera angle, neat music, fun set of weapons, Lute & Briar are fun characters, enjoyable world & story, etc. Glad to have played it in the end.

Good checklist game going around and killing some spiders. Therapeutic if you don't like em, and otherwise just a fun little game anyways with the tasks you can do to progress. Also a decent selection of weapons for the job as well for variety. Give Kill it with Fire a shot

Still a fun first person platformer that feels smooth to do every movement, especially once it all clicks for you the more you play. Neat music, fun levels to play through, beautiful visual design for the environments, and Faith is a neat protag. Mirror's Edge is still a blast

Superhot still lives in my head after 3 years since I beat it. Loved the levels, the gameplay was enjoyable, SFX were satisfying, neat amount of challenges and secrets, etc. Definitely one of my favorites of all time.
