There’s a HURRICANE this weekend heading for Baja and Southern California. Folks, that is not in any way normal. I may not live long enough to see the worst of the impacts of climate change, but I want to use my voice and platform today to urge action. We can start by ending subsidies and investments into fossil fuels. Full stop.

In April 2012, a team of researchers intentionally conducted a controlled crash of a former Alaska Airlines Boeing 727. This event took place in Mexico and aimed to investigate a genuine aircraft crash scenario. While many believe that surviving a plane crash is unlikely, this study revealed a different reality. The research indicated that passengers seated in the aircraft's front section were most vulnerable during the simulation. Individuals situated near the wings might sustain injuries, but these injuries were not deemed life-threatening. Interestingly, passengers positioned at the back of the plane emerged with minimal harm and only a few injuries.
